ACR offers two rakeback options: 27% fixed or the Elite Benefits program (up to 65%). We break down which is better based on your volume.
Americas Cardroom gives players a choice: stick with a guaranteed 27% flat rakeback, or opt into the Elite Benefits program where you can earn up to 65% — but potentially less than 27% at low volumes. Here's how to decide.
## The 27% Fixed Rakeback Option
This is the simple option. Every dollar of rake you generate, you get 27 cents back. No tiers, no fluctuation, no minimum volume.
**Pros:**
- Guaranteed minimum — never drops below 27%
- Perfect for casual players
- No volume pressure
- Predictable income
**Cons:**
- Capped at 27% no matter how much you play
- Miss out on up to 38% more rakeback at high volumes
## The Elite Benefits Program
Elite Benefits uses a tiered system based on Award Points earned:
| Tier | Points Required | Rakeback Equivalent |
|------|----------------|-------------------|
| Lieutenant | 2,500 | ~30% |
| Captain | 7,500 | ~35% |
| Major | 25,000 | ~40% |
| Colonel | 75,000 | ~45% |
| General | 200,000 | ~50% |
| 5-Star General | 500,000 | ~55% |
| Commander | 1,000,000 | ~60% |
| Supreme Commander | 2,500,000 | ~65% |
Award Points are earned at approximately 5.5 points per $1 of rake for cash games.
## The Crossover Point
At approximately $500-600/month in rake, Elite Benefits starts outperforming the fixed 27%. Below that, the fixed rate is better.
Monthly rake breakeven examples:
- **$300/month rake**: Fixed = $81, Elite = ~$75 → **Fixed wins**
- **$600/month rake**: Fixed = $162, Elite = ~$180 → **Elite wins**
- **$2,000/month rake**: Fixed = $540, Elite = ~$900 → **Elite wins by $360**
- **$5,000/month rake**: Fixed = $1,350, Elite = ~$2,750 → **Elite wins by $1,400**
## Our Recommendation
If you generate less than $500/month in rake (playing micro or low stakes, low volume), stick with the 27% fixed option. The guaranteed floor protects you.
If you play regularly and generate $600+ in monthly rake, Elite Benefits is clearly superior. The upside potential of up to 65% is too significant to pass up.
You can switch between the two options, but check ACR's current policy on switching frequency before making changes.
